Green SM, a Vietnamese company that is rapidly growing in the green mobility sector worldwide, has now entered the Indian market as well. It has officially launched its premium taxi service, Green SM Limo, which runs on fully electric vehicles, in the country.This new service is seen as a significant step forward in India in the face of rising pollution and fuel consumption. Green SM unveiled its electric taxi service at a special event in New Delhi on the occasion of World Environment Day.Green Smart Mobility is a subsidiary of Vietnamese company Winfast. Winfast has now entered the taxi business with the launch of its taxi service.
Green SM, which is already operating successfully in Vietnam, has since expanded to countries like Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Now, it has reached another key milestone in its international expansion by launching services in India. Interestingly, India has become the fifth international market where the company has launched its operations. The electric taxi service was launched in the presence of Haryana Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Dr. Virinder Sharma, and representatives from Vietnam.
The Green SM Limo service will initially be available in the Delhi-NCR region. Keeping in mind the increasing transportation needs, traffic congestion and pollution issues in the national capital, the company is initially focusing on this market. After receiving feedback from customers, Green SM has announced plans to expand the electric taxi service to other major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai in a phased manner.
The company will use only Limo Green electric vehicles specially manufactured by Winfast for this taxi service. Based on the Winfast MPV 7, which was introduced in the Indian market a few months ago, this commercial version has been specially developed to suit taxi services. With a spacious cabin, comfortable seating, and a fully electric powertrain, it will provide passengers with a quiet and comfortable travel experience.
Moreover, the company has adopted a unique strategy to make Green SM taxis easily recognizable on the roads. All its vehicles will be painted in an attractive turquoise blue colour. This will not only make Green SM taxis stand out from the ordinary cabs but will also bring a unique brand identity to the company. Green SM has embarked on its journey with the aim of providing clean, sustainable and modern transport services in India.
The electric SUV used for the Green SM Limo service offers a quiet and comfortable ride for passengers. The powerful electric motor and high-capacity battery ensure that it performs well in city traffic and on long journeys. Each Green SM Limo vehicle is available with ‘Ride 5 Star’ standards. Amenities like drinking water and wet tissues are also provided for passengers.
There are also AI-powered internal and external cameras for safety, and emergency support buttons for use in emergencies. These vehicles will be driven by specially trained ‘green drivers’. They have been specially trained in road safety, customer service, and electric vehicle management. Users can book a taxi by downloading the ‘Green SM’ app from the Google Play Store or App Store.
You can also avail the services through the hotline number or by stopping the vehicle directly. As part of the introductory offer, the company has announced a 50 percent discount up to a maximum of Rs. 250 for those booking through the app from June 5 to June 11. Those who do not have a smartphone can call 9228853333 and book a taxi. But currently, only those in Delhi and Gurugram can use it.
